Service agreement

GENERAL AGREEMENT

RAF 3D Technologies Inc., Raf3d.ca, and www.raf3d.ca (collectively referred to as “We,” “Us,” or “Our”) provide a range of services, including but not limited to 3D scanning, 3D printing, CAD design, and reverse engineering. By agreeing to Our services, you hereby acknowledge that you have read and agree to the terms and conditions set forth in this page or in the paper contract between the parties.

The basics.

We are committed to providing excellent service to our clients. Still, we are not responsible or liable if we cannot offer the service due to variables beyond our control, such as weather, natural disasters, transportation issues, or acts of God. We take reasonable measures to protect our client materials. Still, we are not responsible or liable if we cannot protect clients’ physical objects and/or virtual files due to variables beyond our control, such as weather, natural disasters, transportation issues, or acts of God.

Our technicians may take pictures and videos, including audio recordings, for marketing and advertisement purposes without notifying you. However, we will strictly adhere to your request if you want us to refrain from taking images and/or videos from your project.

We cannot guarantee the availability of digital scans after a 30-day period from the scan date.

Our services are “as is” and “as available” without express or implied warranties. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any or all of our services at any time without prior notice.

Our “services” are provided “as is” and “as available” without warranty of any kind, either express or implied.

If you wish to keep your project confidential, you must request and sign our confidentiality form. In such cases, we will not use any images, videos, or audio recordings for marketing purposes. We will not retain a copy of your file. We will provide you with the digital files via a physical medium, such as a USB flash drive, SD card, or micro SD card, for an additional fee of $25. You are solely responsible for maintaining a safe and secure digital copy of your file.

INFORMATION REGARDING OUR PROCEDURE

To obtain accurate and reliable results from our 3D scanning services, cleaning your object of any oil, grease, debris, and dust may be necessary. We may use various cleaning solutions, such as alcohol and distilled water, an all-purpose cleaner, or a degreaser, to clean your object. We will obtain your verbal consent before applying any cleaning solutions to your object. By engaging our services, you acknowledge that you have given us verbal permission to use or not to use cleaning solutions on your object as necessary.

To obtain high-quality 3D scans, we may need to use a matte and disappearing spray on your object. We will obtain your verbal consent before applying any spray to your object. By engaging our services, you acknowledge that you have given us verbal permission to use or not to use our illuminating spray on your object as necessary.

To perform successful 3D scans, we may need to use tracking stickers on your object. These stickers contain adhesive and are an essential part of our process in most cases. However, we may use non-contact methods for delicate objects, such as art, historical, and medical pieces. We will discuss the appropriate scanning method with you verbally before proceeding. By engaging our services, you are permitting us to use trackers on your object as necessary.

We may take photos before and after the 3D scan for tracking and internal use with pickup and drop-off services. However, we do not offer pickup and drop-off services for confidential items, such as prototype pieces, due to the sensitive nature of handling and documenting such objects.
